The Province of Alberta joins the confederation September 1, 1905. Alberta is located in the western of Canada`s provinces and is the westernmost of the three Prairie Provinces and is ranks 6th in total land area. The province is ranks 4th in population with almost 3.5 million residents in 2007. The Capital City is Edmonton. Largest Cities: Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Camrose, Jasper and St. Albert. The languages in Alberta is English 80,0%, Chinese 3,0%, German 2,6%, French 1,9%, Panjabi 1,1%, and 11,4% other language. It has very mix of ethnicity and race; Canadian 27,6%, English 25,6%, German 19,6%, and 27,2% a mixed background. Alberta is bordered Northwest Territories to the north, Saskatchewan to the east, British Columbia to the west and USA with the state Montana to the south. Alberta has one of the strongest economies in Canada from the petroleum industry, agriculture and technology industry. Alberta is Canada’s largest producer of conventional and hard crude oil, synthetic crude, natural gas and gas. Alberta is large producer of petrochemicals, polyethylene, petrochemical and vinyl. The north Alberta has larges industry of forestry for lumber, plywood, wood pulp and newsprint. Alberta has is a huge agriculture state in Canada with over three million cattle’s, is over 50% of half the totally beef product in Canada, Alberta ranches also has buffalo, sheep and mutton. Alberta is also large in wheat, canola, hugs, and milk. Tourism is also a big economic sector with professional athletic events, international sporting competitions, large shopping centers and outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, skiing, hiking rock climbing, and fishing.
