95 fully trained lifeguards are going to help those who might get into trouble in the water this summer on the beaches of Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Mijas Costa. All These lifeguards are also fully trained in first aid. So you can be safe on the beaches this summer.

All of Fuengirola beaches are having flying the prestigious blue flags which signify quality of water and sand. Last Friday celebrated Fuengirola this and a part of the ceremony a parachutist flew down to the Mayor carrying a blue flag. The Mayor raised it on a flag pole in front of one of the beaches.

Marbella feria has estimated more than a half a million people in the town. In this economic crises time was the feria organization afraid that not going around economic, but the high number of people did compensate for the lower individual spending rate. The fiesta of Saint Bernabe came to an end last Sunday with the Corpus Christi procession in the morning, followed by a bull fight in the afternoon. There were some unacceptable behaviors from those attending and this caused some clashes with those who were acting as security personnel.

The town of Nerja has had a setback with its proposed sewage works .The project has now been set back for three year and will not be started until 2012.There needs to be an environmental assessment and a technical assessment for this 37 million euro project. Until then sewage residue will continue to be placed in the sea.
