secunia-program

According to Security Company Secunia have 98 percent of all Windows computers at least one insecure program installed. These are all possible forms of applications that have security holes and other problems. As a rule, clogging the holes again continuously by the developers, but it is not at all certain that users know that there are free updates.

It is important to ensure that your programs are updated, especially if it’s critical security hole. Cyber Criminals exploit these security holes to get access to computers, spread viruses and Trojans, and so on. It is not the only browser that is important to update. Security holes discovers in most types of software.
Secunia has a free tool called the Personal Software Inspector (PSI). I have written on the PSI before, but now has it updated, I thought is worthwhile to pay attention to it again. The program keeps track of your applications and then checks it against Secunias Security database, to test if the installed version needed updating. In the new version of PSI checks Browser Add-Ins – i.e. additions in the browser.

This is a clearly important part to keep track of. Security hole as found in Appendix for the browser is of course a great danger, because it can open up your computer for attacks from infected websites. With PSI installed, can you search your computer for problems, and you can also allow the program to be resident in the memory, for tell you when new updates coming. (this article did I found at TkJ, thanks Tommy).

If you’re like me, who are often online and a member of different networks, I can recommend the excellent service User Name Check. It is a simple but very useful service that allows you to search for available user in a wide range of social networks and Web services. If you, like me, would like to have the same username on all social networks you are a member, so is the User Name Check very good.
The service could not be easier to use. You enter the username you want to check and then wait for it to check availability at each site.
Your username, you may be the same everywhere, but do not forget to have different passwords. A common security issue is to select the same at all sites, which is not
particularly smart. In order to manage your different passwords there are several smart freeware, we on Sundream Estate using KeePassword Safe and we are very pleased with keepass
