It didn’t start any new developments to build in Marbella and Elvira area last year. Over the last 5-6 year has it been build over 100 new urbanizations of property Marbella or 6.000 – 7.000 Marbella apartments and about 1.000 Elviria apartments. The massive production of properties was going right in the wall in the end. At the same time came the finance crises in the world so the market more or less died over a week. No one could sale a property Marbella, the banks didn’t give any mortgage and many urbanizations lost there first occupation licenses because of the Malaya scandal. Only the clients with cash money and who didn’t care about licenses was the buyer of property Marbella apartments.

Now in the year 2010 is the market slowly on the way back. In February are Marbella Town Hall coming with the new PGOU plan for Marbella and at the same time give all the so call illegal building back there first occupation licenses for property Marbella apartments and villas. Signals from the banks said that they are ready to give mortgage again, to buyers for property in Marbella. We have also in our company Sundream Estate got more phone calls, e-mail and other enquiry of property Marbella apartments. We have just got in 2 lovely apartments next to Santa Maria golf course, build for 4 year ago. They are on 86 m2 plus terrace, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a lovely living room with dinning area and a fully equipped American kitchen. Both have garage and store room. The community has 2 nice pool areas. The price stated from 225.000 euros. This is a very good investment for rental or to have a holiday home in Marbella.

Some real estates people didn’t think the Marbella property market prices ever going ending rising. Many real estates said to the clients – the property Marbella market prices are growing with 15-20% every year, so in 5-6 year has your property doubling in sales value. Even the real estates themselves believe in what they said. They rent more and bigger offices, employed more people, more luxuries cars; they competed with each other that have most and biggest road signs. Today has many of them gone bankrupt. Empty locals, road sign skeleton with no advertisements and high unemployment.

A property in Marbella is a good investment over long time if the buying price is correct, not those fantasy over prices some real estates was sold for in 2003 to 2007. We have many clients who we sold properties in Marbella under these years. We never took in property in Marbella to any over prices. Some days were I looking at 5-6 properties and only 1 or 2 did we take in for sale, the rest was stupid over prices. Today when the prices has going down with around 15% can we still sale them and the owner don’t lose any money. We only take in properties in good areas like Hacienda Playa, Bahia de Marbella, Elvira Hills, Hacienda Elviria, Cabopino, Los Monteros and many more similarly areas.

marbella-hard-rock-cafe

Marbella is again on the map as one of Spain most imported towns. Just a few weeks ago on the 29th October were the Grand Opening Celebration of Hard Rock Café Marbella. It is Spain’s fifth Hard Rock Cafe after Barcelona, Madrid, Mallorca and Gran Canaria. It is situated in the heart of Puerto Banus, on the corner of Plaza Antonio Banderas, opposite the El Corte Ingles department store and adjacent to the Marina Banus shopping centre. The new establishment is of around 1000sqm and has recently received a 2.5 million euro installation and decoration investment. There is space for around 300 people. As well it includes a bar, an open-air terrace and Rock Shop, and also features Hard Rock’s limited-edition merchandise. The new cafe is expected to create about 70 permanent jobs and up to 100 persons in summer and will definitely bring some more local people and tourists to the port of Marbella.

Marbella has been waited a long time for Hard Rock Café. Marbella have already most of the worlds famous and important restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques to offer tourists and the people who lives here or have a property Marbella apartments or villas as a holydays home.

There are always many people at the new Hard Rock Cafe, so be aware that there could be a small queue to get in. But they handle it quite well and give you a small pager which vibrates when it’s your turn. Nice idea, so you can go to the bar while waiting and don’t have to actually stay in the queue

The Opening Celebration on October 29th was celebrated by Javier Ojeda from the legendary Spanish band Danza Invisible, who performed an acoustic set with two other musicians and a second set with Free Soul Band, a truly funky band from nearby Malaga.

Spain is starting a strong promotional campaigns for Spain in Britain, becouse of a 15 percent fall in reservations for the summer from the British market. The promotions name ‘A Taste of Spain’ a cultural and gastronomic festival are going to be held in the open air in  Regent Street in London from May 31 to June 3 and also in Edinburgh between July 17 and 19. ‘A Taste of Spain ‘menu will offer Spanish horses, artists, dancers, designers, musicians, cooks, and giant paella, plus a lot of information about what the wonderfull Spain has to offer.

The Frontur survey report that, over the first months of this year there was a 22% fall in the number of British tourists arriving in Spain compared to last year.

Ignacio Vasallo, the Director of the Spanish Tourism Office in London, have also confirm that numbers of british turists have going down and the worst numbers were seen in January, with February also poor and March less so, but he noted that Spain had not lost market share from the UK,which is Spain’s main tourist market for golf, culture, and the sun. He also noted that the main destinations of Marbella, Tenerife, Mallorca and  Costa del Sol were seeing numbers similar to last year, and the number of plane seats available was the same as last year, which is very good for us working with tourists and I hope that the campaign “A Taste of Spain” will be a great success.

malaga-view1

When you flying over Spain a cloudless day, can you see the border to Andalucia. The brown flat country passing over in to hills and mountains, who is totally covered with olives trees. The closer you come to coast in the south, the dryer is the country and then you have come to Costa del Sol. The largest community in Costa del Sol is Malaga and I’m going to tell you everything about Malaga and Malaga community in this and follow articles.

Malaga International Airport is situated between Malaga town and the village Torremolinos, who is the port to Costa del Sol. It is a pity that not more people take time to teach the new Malaga Town, who is bidding for the title of 2016 European Capital of Culture and the new criuser port, who has wide range of archeology, history, art, culture and charming atmosphere with shops, restaurants and bars.

The castle Castillo de Gibralfaro

If you want to know the town, then I recommend you to first drive up to the old and huge Arabic Castle “Castillo de Gibralfaro” situated on the hill and surrounded by palms trees just over the centre, but its note much of the castle left inside the walls. For them who want to see a how an Arabic medieval castle look like, is there no more beautiful place then Alhambra in Granada. However have you a fantastic view over Malaga; the bullfight arena, harbor, beaches, mountains, and the town. Here can you see the town as it is; crowd of people in the city, on the beaches, in the sea with the strong sun and the glittery Mediterranean in the background.

Malaga old history

The town founded by the Arabian from Syrian for over 3.ooo year ago and have always been a strategic imported town because of the two rivers Guadalmedina and Guadalhorce. When is digs anywhere in Malaga, do they always finds remains either from the Romans or the Arabic who ruled Spain from the 7th century to the end of the 14th century. Below Gibralfaro are the Roman Theatre and an archeological museum.

Marbell History

This is going to be information about the history of Marbella, from the beginning and to what we are today. Marbella has a very interesting history.

Marbella has been on the map since just about the year dot. Pottery found in Neolithic caves prove the presence of our cave dwelling ancestors and these early residents introduced such innovations as the plough, crops, livestock raising, pottery, textiles and permanent villages. They also developed metalwork, smelting copper and bronze to make agricultural tools and weaponry. By about 1000 BC the area was rich in agriculture, animals and metals and Phoenician traders came to trade perfumes, ivory, jewelers, oil, wine and textiles for Andalucían silver and bronze.

Around the 7th century BC, the Greeks came too, trading many of the same goods. The Phoenicians and Greeks brought to Andalucia the potter’s wheel, writing, the olive tree, the vine and animals such as the donkey and hen. The Carthaginians were Marbella’s next inhabitants, gradually pushing out the Phoenicians and Greeks and, once weakened, the area also attracted Iberians from northern Spain.

Roman’s Marbella

The mighty Romans conquered the area after nearly two hundred years of bloody battles had raged throughout the Iberian Peninsula. Once under Rome’s command however, Andalucia became one of the richest and most civilized areas of the empire outside Italy. Situated on the main Via Augusta, which ran from Rome to Gades, lay “Salduba”, today’s Marbella. It was one of the most important Roman settlements on the Costa del Sol. The remains of a once luxurious Roman villa situated at Rio Verde (on the outskirts of Marbella) display in situ some beautiful mosaics from the period and the substantial remains of the octagonal Roman bath house of Las Bovedas in San Pedro de Alcantara has defied the elements in spectacular fashion.

The Romans held the area for nearly 500 years until the longhaired Visigoths settled in the area after overthrowing Rome and then being pushed to the far reaches of the former empire by other invaders. In San Pedro de Alcantara, the Visigothic Christian basilica of Vega del Mar is one of the best-preserved Visigothic monuments in Spain and artifacts from here, the Roman villa and Las Bovedas can be viewed at the archaeological museums in Malaga and Madrid.
