It is a question – why leave so many? Twitter is an excellent service but it is understandable that twitter can not take over other services as Facebook and Myspace – Twitter should not do it, is whole different uses.
- There is no doubt that Twitter has grow exponentially in recent months thanks to all the attention the service received. The service grew by 100 percent during March, but the majorities, 6 of 10 people choose to stop using the service within a month.
The fact that Obama started use Twitter gave it substantial increase in users, but as soon as he finished in that he became president, just as quickly started to users lose interest. Think of it as running a blog. You can write how much any time and enormous contributions to both the content and design innovation texts, but if no one chooses to read, comment, or even follow the blog so the user will lose interest and stop. Twitter is on the same track.
Here you can follow thousands, but with no response, type the user for air. As with blogs follow the visitors content and Twitter can be used in various ways – ranging from short news messages to the personal I-do-this and have you no greater friendship circle, can the number of follower be very few at the end.
Twitters ability to maintain their users is much lower than, for example, Facebook and Myspace. These two services have the ability to keep 70 per cent compared with Twitters 40 percent.
As I wrote above, one should not compare Twitter with Facebook or Myspace, they’re good at completely different things and the latter is significantly better at retaining users when services entirely on building a network of contacts. Twitter is based on the short message to tell everyone and everything about everything. That so many that 6 of 10 reject Twitter does not surprise me, I will certainly stop a time. But until then, it is an interesting service.
