 One of the best places in the heart of Costa del Sol is the small lovely, romantic and very cosy harbour village, Cabopino. This well hidden jewel is situated in the coast in the middle between Fuengirola and Marbella , in the middle of Calahonda and Elviria, with lovely attractive family-friendly sandy beach and dunes, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant harbour, well renowned restaurants and chiringuitos. It is a paradise for children and families.
Building
The architecture and development has been strictly controlled in Cabopino. They have the well known and characteristic block towel around the port in Cabopino, as well as the apartment block all the way up and around the golf course. Everything is in white harmony with the pine trees forest that goes from Cabopino to Marbella.
Harbour
This beautiful, charming little marina port with its small boatyard and attractive architecture has 169 moorings that are occupied by exclusive yachts. If you want to visit the harbour from the sea, the Regular depth is 1 meter, but if you keep to the right the depth is 2 meters. It is not recommended with more than 1.5 meters, the harbour takes yachts from 7x2,0 meters up to 15x4,0 meters. The harbour has tower, crane, office, toilette, shower room, super market, water and gasoline. And around the marina you have good range of restaurants.
Restaurants
The Marina is a home of exciting choice of places to eat, from traditional Spanish with superb seafood and paella. Pizzas and Chinese’s too, with international as Albert's, Harbour Lights & Gueseippes - all friendly family restaurants. Along on the beach, every 300 -400 metes, you will find many lovely chiringuitos (Spanish beachside bars and restaurants) with seafood, paella, salads and grills.
If you leave the marina and the beach, you have, in a short walk, the Italian Da Bruno Restaurant. Don’t miss Da Bruno.
Beaches
You can reach the sandy beach and dunes from the coast road N-340 and you can easy park at the side of apartments block next to the marina. Miles of sandy beaches offer you water sports, fishing and relaxing. The sand is clean and well maintained of a superior quality to other beaches along the coast. Cabopino has lifeguards and with the beaches gentle slope into the sea, it makes Cabopino beaches a paradise for children families. There is a nudist beach, if you prefer to swim in nature about 400 -500 meters to the west of the marina.
Cabopino Golf and shopping.
Cabopino golf is a 18 hole, par 71 course. With an envious position, near the harbour and sea, set in the pine forest, a challenging modern design. Within 10 minutes drive you have around 8-10 more golf courses to choose from. Close in the area you can find Plaza Santa Monica a friendly mini-market which has fresh meat and cheese, also good wine, beer and spirit. It is open Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 2pm, and 4.30pm to 8pm. The Plaza has also a bar, a cafe and an excellent outdoor barbeque restaurant, and in the summer it has a traditional Spanish Flamenco dancing performing three evenings per week.
